As far as I'm concerned, there is no comparison between the two. I have both karoake revolution (which i bought first) and singstar volumes 1 & 2.
Singstar has songs from the actual artists and has the music videos from the songs playing in the background (which for me was a huge added plus). Firstly, I was able to get both singstars and two microphones for the same price as the karaoke revolution.
Secondly, singstar's actual gameplay itself is so far superior to KR that it's not even worth having both of them even if you really like karoake. has cover bands doing the song and the background while you sing is an avatar dancing around on a stage (a la Guitar Hero).
If you like karoake, you will be very happy with this purchase and I highly suggest buying both vol 1 & 2 (which can currently be had for a total of $55 here on amazon.
Okay, I am no budding artist but all of these songs come out as if the same person is singing them. If I choose Madonna, I sound like me.If I choose Nickelback, I sound like me.If I choose Flock of Seagulls, well.I sound a little like them. Also, this game will not make you sound better while singing and you will never look like the Zach Efron wannabe on the front of the cover.no matter how much you drink while playing this game. But your friends will get a kick out of it while you try.
Singstar plus a little vodka equals a whole night of fun for two or more people. I'm a SingStore junkie, too. I'm not a singer and neither are most of my friends, and everyone balks when they hear a suggestion for karaoke. However, I've never had anyone not want to come back for more Singstar after playing it. I have over one hundred tracks that I have purchased. You can't go wrong here if you want a party game that everyone can enjoy.
This game is fun for everyone. There is a wide assortment of songs to choose from - oldies and today. Family & party pleaser.
singstore had a lot of problems when i first received this game, but is working fine now. just as fun as the other singstar games. just wish i hadn't sold my library of ps2 singstar right before they made them compatible with ps3 versions
